Political Economy & Its Future

GOV1025/HLS 2390

In “Alternative Futures of the Knowledge Economy: The Role of Institutional Change in Expanding the Knowledge Economy,” a paper I wrote for a Harvard Law course taught by Professor Roberto Unger, I touched upon the role of institutions and institutional change on the broader knowledge economy. Written during the time of the largest U.S. bank collapse since 2008, I explored how the current financial industry would affect the alternative futures of the knowledge economy and the financing of innovation. I focused my paper on the U.S. economy as a specific example, arguing how potential mission-oriented policies affect innovation.

*I cross-registered at Harvard Law. This course was offered to undergraduates as GOV 1025.

Legal History (What is Legal History?)

HISTORY 97G

This paper is a close reading of a legal register documenting a 1403 criminal trial (malpractice) by a French appellate court in Marseille. I analyzed the presentation of the case (in both the translated and original Latin transcription), witness testimony, and word choice (focusing on the original text in Latin).

Legal History (What is Legal History?)

HISTORY 97G

In this paper, I analyze how the broader socio-political factors shaped the landscape of legal proceedings in Medieval Western France. I deconstruct the influence of power dynamics and social beliefs as put forth by Stephen White’s his representation of the legal landscape in France.
